Pedro Lopez from RTI talks about how they are enabling the software-defined vehicle with ECU consolidation using a data-centric framework with Dynamic Data Sharing (DDS) middleware running on the NXP S32G processor. RTI provides a level of abstraction using the DDS standard to make it easier to move processing from the edge of the vehicle to a gateway. A demonstration shows how a vehicle zone with a microcontroller connected to GNSS and camera sensors can be processed in the S32G gateway/vehicle computer. The RTI software is available as part of the NXP S32G Vehicle Integration Platform (GoldVIP). Close collaboration between NXP hardware and RTI software helps customers transition to SDVs.
